Porting FAQ’s

Porting your US telephone number is a process that can take up to four (4) weeks, depending on the type of number you are porting and the country the number is located in. The process includes coordination between our provider and your service provider to transfer the number to Yobi.

What is Porting?

Porting is the process of transferring an existing phone number to another provider, such as taking an existing phone number and making it your main number for Yobi.

What Kind of Phone Numbers Can I Port?

You can port local numbers, numbers from all around the United States, and toll-free numbers.

Can I Port My Business Phone Number into Yobi?

Yes, you can! Simply email us at [email protected] to let us know you want to port in your numbers, and we’ll provide you with the next steps.

Porting Out My Yobi Number?

To port your number out of Yobi, you need to contact a carrier that will take charge of your number. Once this step is done, Yobi’s carrier will release the number to the carrier of your choice. This process may take some time, so in the meantime, our carrier will continue supporting the number until the porting is completed successfully.
